Melbourne based gallery FRESHLY BAKED GALLERY got together with Aum Brand founder Amar Stewart to put together an exclusive online show focusing on iconic 90′s hip hop and rnb musicians that have inspired Amar whilst growing up.

This was Amar’s first show working with oils as his usual body of work consists of aerosols and acrylic. Be sure to check out the series of work HERE.

Amar Stewart releases a new line of cushions titled “Revenge Series”. The artwork focuses on iconic samurai movie scene’s with Amar’s stylised touch. All cushions are produced in the UK using digitally printed faux suede materials, feather filled and measure at 40cm x 40cm. Available now HERE.

Ikea put together a great campaign kitting peoples rooms out and our friend Jess was one of them. We had no idea that she decided to rock our Doom No Show Shirt throughout the whole feature so when we came across it we were HYPED. Although a slightly different approach to our regular design work we decided to release a limited run of this MF DOOM shirt. We all know how the masked villain handles his business when it comes to live shows and whether you love him or hate him for it, he does put up his hands to it.

There has been a lot of negative vibes towards him since sending an impostor to the event put on by the London based hip hop collective “Livin’ Proof” so we decided to drop this shirt.

There will only be 40 tees released and each will come with a limited print, signed and numbered. They will be available on our online store and at Upper Playground’s new location (63 Broadwick St, just off Carnaby St) at 11am, this Saturday 6th October.

Australian artist WBK or works by knight has developed a series of portraits which pay tribute to various individuals whose influence helped change
the realities of technology and mass media through out the 20th and 21st centuries. WBK builds all of his mosaic artworks from images of letter components
from the keyboards of antiquated analog and digitized devices to create mosaic representations of famous figures from popular culture. the faces of celebrities
and visionaries like astronaut neil armstrong, rapper tupac, politician aung san suu kyi mp ac, or olympian usain bolt are realized through the strategic
placement of worn letter and number type parts of various shapes and sizes.

‘a large part of my work makes reference and is influenced by the transition from analogue to digital. using old type sets, type writer keys, analogue numbers,
analogue timepieces (clock faces) etc. to represent the analogue era. the digital era suggested with computer keys, calculator buttons phone buttons, etc.‘ -WBK

Sneaker boutique of Boston, Bodega and Saucony reach round 6 in their on going collaboration together, this time creating hybrid versions of Saucony most popular models.

Not lacking on originality, Bodega reach Round Six on their collaboration with Saucony Elite. This time round we see Bodega fusing the sole unit used on the neoprene sock-lined runner the Grid 9000, with the upper of other popular Saucony models such as the Mater Control, Shadow 5000 & Shadow 6000.

The G9 Shadow 6000 features a predominantly purple and blue nubuck suede upper, with ripstop nylon panels. The midsole coloured in purple & blue with a gum outsole. The G9 Master Control 6 uses a nubuck upper with nylon toe-box and lateral panels, sitting on a speckled Grid 9000 sole unit. Finally the G9 Shadow 5000 features an off-white nubuck upper with a grid pattern on the toe-box and heel, and blue and purple pops on the midsole.

The Bodega x Saucony Elite Round Six collection will be available both in-store and on mail order at Foot Patrol from Saturday 25th August, Sizes range from UK7  - UK11 (including half sizes) priced at £90.

On August 2nd, Graffik Gallery and Upper Playground London will be showcasing some of the biggest names and up and coming artists in a group show not to be forgotten about.

With names like Mode 2, Adam Neate, Banksy and Paul Insect, you know this will be a show not to be missed. Aum Brand’s very own Amar Stewart will also be exhibiting a new body of work at the show as well as giving away signed prints to the first 20 guests.

A few days ago we came across the work of Ran Ortner. Ran, at the age of 5 along with his parent’s moved from San Francisco to Alaska. Not having access to the even the basic amenities one would have in a town/city, Ran would be influenced by the open seas.

Although we have been a little quiet on releasing new product over the past few months we thought give you a little update on our Fall’12 release we have going on House of Billiam. Due to the success of our AW’11 Jacket, it only seemed right to work with these guys again. Trust us when we say the attention to detail and quality is top drawer!
